Bring appointments in from MyChart
Sign in to your health system's MyChart, say yes, and the upcoming doctor's appointments land on the shared Pairlo calendar, so the whole family knows when they are and who's driving.
Who it's for
Patients and the family caregivers who help them. Sign in with the patient's own MyChart login, or with yours if the patient has given you proxy access in MyChart. It works with health systems that use Epic and have turned on patient apps.
What Pairlo reads
- Upcoming appointments: the date and time, where it is, who it's with, and the reason or visit type when the health system includes it.
- Which patient they belong to: MyChart tells Pairlo the patient record you approved, so the appointments are matched to the right person.
Nothing else. Pairlo doesn't ask for test results, notes, diagnoses, medications or messages, and it can't change anything in MyChart. The access is read-only.
What Pairlo keeps
- The appointments you bring in, on your loved one's Pairlo calendar. You can edit or delete any of them.
- Not your MyChart password. You type it on your health system's own sign-in page, never on Pairlo.
- No standing connection. Pairlo reads once while you're signed in and keeps no access token or refresh token. To pick up new appointments later, run the import again.
How to use it
- Open your loved one's page in the Pairlo app and go to the Calendar tab.
- Under Bring in appointments from the doctor's office, choose Import, then search for the health system.
- Choose Sign in to the portal. You'll go to that health system's MyChart page.
- Sign in and approve. You come straight back to Pairlo with a count of what was added or updated.
Run it again whenever you like. Appointments already on the calendar aren't duplicated, changed times are updated, and the ride you arranged stays in place.
If your health system isn't listed
Each health system decides whether to turn on outside patient apps, so not every one will appear. You can still bring appointments in another way: in MyChart (or any patient portal), open the appointment and choose Add to calendar. It downloads a small calendar file (.ics). Drop that file on the same Import box in Pairlo. Several files at once is fine.
You can also type appointments in by hand, or ask your health system to make Pairlo Care available.
Stopping or removing it
Because Pairlo keeps no connection, there's nothing to switch off: if you don't run the import again, Pairlo never reads MyChart again. Delete any imported appointment from the calendar at any time. If your MyChart lists the apps you've approved, you can remove Pairlo Care there as well. To delete your Pairlo account and its information, email hello@pairlo.care.
Privacy
Appointments you bring in are shown only to the people on your loved one's Pairlo page: the organizer, any care manager you invite, and family you share the page with. You can mark an appointment as not shared with the family page. We never sell or rent your information. Read the privacy policy and terms.
