Your rights under the FTC Funeral Rule
- You can ask for prices over the phone, and get the funeral home's General Price List to keep when you ask about arrangements in person.
- You buy only the goods and services you want.
- You can supply your own casket or urn bought elsewhere; the funeral home can't refuse it or charge you a fee to use it.
